Liquid damage is hard to estimate a price for. The first thing we need to repair is your logic board. We have flat rates for logic board repair for most MacBook models. Prices range from $150 to $550. The older MacBooks are much easier to fix so they are the cheapest to fix. A quick breakdown would be:

2010-2012 - $150

2013-2015 - $200

2016-2017 - $275

2018-2019 - $350

2020 and newer slightly break from the flat rate. Logic board repair starts at $400 and could go as high $550

These prices are for logic board repair only. The issue with liquid damage is it often damages other parts of the machine. The battery, keyboard, track pad, touchbar, screen, even the charge ports can be ruined by liquid damage adding to the cost of the repair. The bigger issue with giving an estimate to fix is that we need to repair your logic board just to test everything else. We try our best to test and inspect everything we can before getting to work on your machine but liquid damage can hide and other parts may be found bad after we give you a first estimate for repair. 

Liquid Damage is one of the worst things that can happen to your machine.

Each model line has different chances of survival. The model with the best survival rate is the 2013-2017 MacBook Air Model A1466. The MacBooks least likely to survive their brush with liquid is the 2019 16" MacBook Pro Model A2141, and the 2018 15" MacBook Pro Model A1990. If you are in the market to buy a MacBook STAY AWAY from the A2141 and A1990 MacBook Pro! If you have one of these two models Keep Backups of you data. 95% of the time when these machines go they take your data with it.

Don't worry to much though. many MacBooks are repairable or there wouldn't be so many shops offering MacBook repair.  With the knowledge and experience I have with these machines, if your machine has any chance of coming back to life, even if it's an A2141, I can repair it here at PS Electronics!
