Data Retention Policy

For Data Recovery customers that mail their devices to PS Electronics for service:

A copy of all Data recovered from customer devices will be kept on our servers until such time as the customer contacts us to state that they have received their data to their address and have copied it to their new/current computer OR no longer then 45 days from shipping the drive to the customer.

The purpose of this retention is to combat the possibility of the recovered data being lost or destroyed while in transit back to the customer OR if the customer makes a mistake and deletes the shipped drive before storing the data in a safe place. If any of this happens we can dispatch a new copy to the customer.

Local/Walk-in customers:

No data will be copied or stored to our servers unless requested by the customer.

Data is precious.  Devices, phones, laptops, hard drives can be replaced easily. If there is no backup, your data cannot be replaced.
